Our teachers cultivate confidence through encouraging language, tone, and manner, combined with a carefully designed teaching methodology.

• Interactive Learning: We use playful analogies, color-coded instruments such as handbells and glockenspiels, sound imitation, and games to make learning fun and memorable. These activities help children understand musical concepts such as pitch and rhythm.
• Developmentally Appropriate Teaching: Young children are not expected to sit at the piano for extended periods. Lessons include a variety of age-appropriate activities to maintain focus and enjoyment. We begin with familiar songs, such as Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, and use repetition to reinforce learning.
• Group Learning & Performance Opportunities: Students are encouraged to participate in group piano lessons where they learn by observing one another and build confidence through regular performance opportunities.

A: Our curriculum provides a well-rounded musical education, including:

• Fundamental Skills: Proper hand position, posture, finger strength, finger independence, note reading, staff notation, clefs, and rhythm.
• Music Theory: Major and minor scales, arpeggios, chords, rhythm, and timing.
• Repertoire: Classical and contemporary pieces, along with technical studies and etudes.
• Musical Expression: Dynamics, phrasing, articulation, and expressive performance.
• Performance Skills: Stage presence, audience etiquette, recital preparation, and confidence building.
• Ear Training & Aural Skills: Pitch recognition, interval training, rhythmic dictation, and sight-singing.

A: Children can begin piano lessons from age 4. We offer both Group Piano and Individual Piano lessons.

For children ages 1–3, we offer Baby Beethoven, a unique early childhood music class that introduces musical concepts through music, movement, play, and hands-on exploration of a variety of instruments.

A: Yes. We welcome adult beginners and provide a thoughtfully designed curriculum tailored to their goals, musical interests, and learning pace.

Lessons focus on:

• Reading music on the grand staff.
• Developing finger independence and technique.
• Building technical skills through Hanon Virtuoso Exercises.
• Learning classical favorites, such as Bach's Minuets and Beethoven's Für Elise, alongside contemporary pop songs.

A: Lessons are available in 30-minute and 45-minute formats, depending on the student's age, level, and learning goals.

A: Our studio is located in Knickerbocker Plaza on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, near 91st Street and 2nd Avenue. We are conveniently located just minutes from the 86th Street and 96th Street Q subway stations and are close to several neighborhood schools, including PS 527, PS 198, and PS 77, making after-school piano lessons convenient for families.
